Aggressive Nasopalatine Cyst with Nasal Involvement in an Edentulous Patient

The purpose of this study was to report a rare case an aggressive nasopalatine cyst with nasal involvement in edentulous patient. A 61-year-old Caucasian male presented anterior maxillary lesion that prevented him from wearing his complete upper denture. Clinical examination showed vestibular and palatal swelling around the sites teeth #11, 12 13. Radiological revealed well-limited maxilla nature because its size, erosion buccal cortical bone, extension floor. provisional diagnosis duct cyst, but patient had been for years, differential also included residual cyst. To remove lesion, we used slightly modified surgical procedure compared conventional approach: flap raised on side another instead classical approach. confirmed after histopathological examination. Large destructive cysts involving cavity are rare. In patient, may be misdiagnosed as case, risk inadvertent creation naso-antral communication. completely enucleated without complications healing uneventful.
